● 공모주제 생태학 전반에 관련된 연구 (기초생태연구, 생태계 모니터링·평가, 생태 보전·복원, 기후변화, 생태환경정책 등

● 모집기간 2023년 3월 20일(월) \~ 9월 30일(토)

● 지원자격 국내·외 생태학에 관심있는 누구나 ※ 응모 논문 수 제한 없음

● 신청방법 영문으로 작성된 논문을 홈페이지(www.nie-competition.com)에서 Microsoft Word 문서(.docx)로 제출 ※ 논문 작성 가이드 참고 ※ 제출서류 : 논문 원문 1부, 표절검사 확인서 1부(Similarity Check-Crossref, Copy Killer, KCI문헌유사도검사 등 택1)

● 선정방법 심사 결과 고득점 순으로 결정

● 심사기준 연구주제의 창의성, 내용 전개 및 연구방법의 논리성, 연구자료의 신뢰성, 연구결과의 활용성 등

● 시상내역 : 총 상금 1,000만원

※ 1) 각 등급에 해당하는 적격자가 없을 경우 선정되지 않을 수 있음 2) 상금은 원천징수세액(수상자 부담) 공제 후 지급 3) 대표응모자(제1저자)에게 상금 지급

● 일정 - 결과발표 : 2023년 10월 중순 예정(홈페이지 및 개별연락) - 시 상 식 : 2023년 10월 말 예정 ※ 일정은 변동될 수 있으며, 변동 시 홈페이지를 통해 공지 드립니다.

● 유의사항 - 1인당 제출 건수 제한은 없음 - 응모주제 및 형식에 적합하지 않은 경우\, 심사에서 제외 될 수 있음 - 응모된 제출서류는 일체 반환하지 않으며\, 수상작은 PNIE 규정에 따라 추가 심사 후 「국립생태원보」에 게재할 계획임 - 최종 수상자의 경우 시상식에 참석해야 함 - 제출된 연구논문이 타 학술지에 게재되었거나 연구 부정행위가 적발되는 경우 입상취소 및 시상금 환수조치 하며\, 지적재산권 등 관련 분쟁시 모든 책임은 응모자에게 있음

Notification of The 3rd National Institute of Ecology Research Paper Competition

The National Institute of Ecology(NIE) is holding The 3rd National Institute of Ecology Research Paper Competition to discover and select excellent papers on natural ecological research in Korea and abroad and publish them in PNIE. We invite many researchers to participate in the competition. * PNIE: Proceedings of the National institute of Ecology of the Republic of Korea (https://pnie.koar.kr/)  

● Eligibility Open to all who are interested in Ecology ※ No limit on the number of manuscript’s submission  

● How to apply Submit a Microsoft Word document(.docx) for the paper written in English   ● Subject Areas Research related to ecology including Basic ecological study, Ecosystem monitoring and assessment, Ecological conservation and restoration, Climate change, Ecological environment policy, etc.  

● Selection The winners will be determined from the order of the highest score by the judging committee.  

● Evaluation criteria Creativity of research subjects, logic and appropriateness of content development and research method, credibility of research data, utilization of research results, etc.

※ 1) No award will be granted if there is no qualified paper for each class. 2) Prize will be paid after deducting withholding tax (to be paid by the winner). 3) Prize will be sent to the representative applicant (first author).  

● Schedule - Contest period : March 20 – September 30\, 2023 (Korean standard time) - Announcement of winners : Middle of October 2023 (website and individually contacted) - Award ceremony : End of October 2023 ※ This is tentative schedule and if it changes, it will be notified through the website.  

● Documents to be submitted 1 copy of the original paper, 1 copy of plagiarism check confirmation(Similarity Check-Crossref, Copy Killer, etc.)  

● How to submit Submit through the website (www.nie-competition.com)  

● Notes - There is no limit on the number of submissions per person - Any paper whose subject or format is not suitable for competition may be excluded from the review. - All submitted documents will not be returned\, and the winning works will be published in the Proceedings of the National Institute of Ecology of the Republic of Korea after additional review according to PNIE regulations. - If a submitted research paper is published in another journal or if research misconduct is detected\, the award will be canceled\, and the prize money will be redeemed. If there is a dispute related to intellectual property rights\, the applicant must take full responsibility.
